For two weeks, when Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras comes to town, Darlinghurst gets to host some of the best parties in the city! (14 February - 2 March 2025).

Darlo has a jam-packed schedule with so much happening, especially around the Rainbow Precinct. Performance every night of the week from Drag Shows to Cabaret; Book Readings to sweaty Disco Nights. Lots of Art - Nude Drawing Classes, Art Exhibitions and Design Markets. Darlo will be waking to the sound of popping corks as the Big Drag Brunches kick off all over the neighbourhood. At ESCAC the dedicated Family Zone returns with lots of kid-friendly action. And of course, we have he Mardi Gras Parade to finish up the festival on the final weekend! Followed by plenty of “recovery parties” too!

Darlo’s not just all about Oxford St - the areas around have plenty going on as well. Cute neighbourhoods waiting to be explored. Stanley St is a foodie haven just 2 blocks away. The Hollywood Quarter across the park is the hippest place in town. And over in Kings Cross, the Glittering Mile beckons with speakeasies, small bars and plenty of action.
