Qtopia Sydney is opening on Saturday 24 February, amidst much excitement and anticipation in the community! Qtopia Sydney will host permanent and temporary exhibitions that explore the LGBTQIA+ community through the lens of history, culture, art and contemporary issues. The Museum will feature historical and archival objects, imagery, video and audio, to tell some of the stories of this significant period within Australia’s history.
The Tap Gallery annual Out Loud Art Prize will be on display from 26 Feb - 3 March.
Life in Black, White and Pink, features large scale photographic works by C. Moore Hardy from the past 3 decades. The artist is renowned as a photographer who has captured key cultural moments in Australian history since the late 1970s, with particular focus on Sydney’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer (LGBTQiA+) communities. Pick up the trail for our annual Oxtravaganza Photography Exhibition, in windows around Taylor Sq and the Rainbow Crossing area. Featuring the work of our resident photographer Robert Knapman who has been snapping photos behind the scenes of Oxtravaganza, Mardi Gras Parade and LGBTQIA+ events for many years.
